Cobnut platts from the cherry orchard There are 2500 Kentish Cobnut trees on the farm, some of which are 100 years old. Many 'platts' have been grubbed locally, this is one of the largest remaining.

The view of the platt on the left is taken from the cherry orchard (from a hydraulic cherry picker!) and is one of 3.

(spot the Soutdown lamb grazing!)

Although most people would presume that nuts are all grown organically, in fact, sometimes sprays are used under the trees to keep the growth down.

Here, in keeping with our Organic status, Southdown lambs are grazed underneath to keep the brambles and undergrowth down.

We have a separate website devoted to the mighty Cobnut with lots of useful information and links.
